Hi Cirius

The ADSL issue/launch has kept us all very busy but I am now back on Wireless (thank God) full time.

why are you taking us through a squid transparent cache, you guys didnt do that before and now i cant benefit at all from the nice content filtering from OpenDNS.
And please make your support more professional
 
Oh look, Screamer is down... again... what a surprise.
 
Tower is back up. Might as well still be down though. Constant dc's and high latency....... Guess i'll wait untill the upgrade on monday comes and pray for the best.

looks like they doing some work on thier data center from about 21:oo tonight.

Dear Screamer Client,

Please note that we will be upgrading our network data centre tonight from 21:00pm till the early hours of the morning. Down time is expected but should be up and running by tomorrow 09:00am.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Hi Fernando

One of the upgrades being done tonight is the removal of this transparent cache, so from tomorrow you will no longer have that "filtering"

Our Bryanston tower was down for a few hours on Sat morning due to a huge power failure in the area. If you did not receive any SMS notification please PM me and I will check why.

OK, You beat me to it. From about 21h00 tonight our entire network will be down as we do a major upgrade to, amongst others, remove NATing. Certain towers will start coming up from about 02h00 on Tuesday morning and the whole upgrade should be complete by 11h30 on Tuesday.

We apologise for any inconvenience but it is a long overdue upgrade.

so anyone notice any improvements etc since the work done last night ?
have not had the chance to test anything at the moment. as am @ work.

Connecting to Kyalami still offline at 07:00 when i left this morning but Howzit did say mention some might only come back on later today.
 
Mr howzit i see that many other isps are reducing there prices do you guys also intend to do so?

Looks good!

But odd that they are giving out Google's public DNS instead of having their own. This means we will get bad responses from Akamai :( Not tooo big a problem, I can run my own resolver now hopefully...

My PPTP... that is still broken. But that's because... wait for it... no peering with MTN-NS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you do that??????????????
 
Managed to get through 4 bosses in ICC 10 man tonight without a single lag spike. First time in a long time.
Please don't change anything!!!

Is the Screamer Wifi network still down in Northcliff? It's been over 24 hours now and still not back up?
