Scripting help

Yes, but that's the build script, and I agree that they should maintain the syntax strictly.
I expect the bit that you wanted to do would go into the package as a post-installation script?

A sizable fraction of all the scripting tricks I've learned over time were also absent in the final implementation of the task at hand. Sometimes you get to use them later on though, so don't despair. ;)

BTW, that source URL at the bottom is broken.

I did enjoy learning something new, the experience was not wasted!!

Actually the source url are created by thee package manager and indicates that 2 things are going to be installed, the program at http;:: and the custom license.
