I have a weird problem and unfortunately am battling to find a correct solution via Google/xda.
I have a Galaxy S II and I installed Checkrom V7 (ICS) which is based on the leaked 4.0.4 build I believe. Since I read that there are no kernals other than stock and people were having brick issues I decided to go back to Resurrection ROM.
Via Odin I reinstalled the Stock Samsung ICS ROM, rooted the phone with DK kernal to get CWM and then installed Resurrection ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854 from CWM.
I have a very weird issue where it seems as if my Internal SD Card has been repartioned. Resurrection ROM only picks up the new partition, so all my backed up apps with Titanium Backup are inaccessable. I also cannot see the phones internal SD Card or External SD card when connected to my PC, with or without debugmode. Neither can I browse the old partition or external partion with ES File explorer or similar programs on my phone.
When I reboot back into CWM, Recovery is able to pick up my old SD partition (So I know everything is there), however it cannot pick up my new partition, thus anything such as a USB Fix I download via the phone, cannot be installed via CWM as it doesn't pick up the new partition...
In other words, thus far I have no idea to how to flash something to fix my phone via CWM as I cannot get the data on the old partition which is what CWM is reading.
Anyone have similar issues or know how I can fix this easy?
I've tried to fix permissions and mount/re-mount SD Card to no avail.
I have my contacts backed up on my PC, so worse comes to worse I can essentially format and reinstall everything from scratch but I would rather not try re-install multiple ROMS via CMW in case I get the brick bug...
Any help would be appreciated....thanks.
PS: Within the phone if I go into settings and "storage" it force closes every time.
Edit: Managed to fix it by flashing another kernel via odin. Going back I see DK is only for Sammy, MUI and AOSP Roms and not AOKP Roms like RR.
