Hi Forum - I sent the news team this email last week and received no reply but I would still like to bring attention to this development even if it is just to this forum.

Since I sent the email the SDC team released the first HTML5 crypto wallet which looks and performs great!

As I'm writing this 1 Shadowcoin (SDC) is equal to the value of 1 Rand.

The coin has been trading on BitTrex ( One of the major bitcoin exchanges ) and has just recently been added to MintPal and Cryptsy ( Also, two of the top exchanges in terms of volume ).

This coin has so much to offer and looking at the road map just shows you that we have something to be proud of here.

Anyone can make a crypto currency. You just get the bitcoin source and adapt. What makes this special other than its South African? I take it you are the developer and have a lot of them? :D Im just trying to figure out how you get its value.


Good idea to post here. A crypto currency is a little like a ponzi scheme. The more people that buy into it the more money the people at the top of the pyramid make :D

Well firstly, I'm not the developer and I literally only own 1600 SDC ( I actually wish I owned more but don't have money to buy more )

Whats special is that this dev team has released crypto-firsts in its Stealth address system, encrypted messaging system, first staking mobile wallet and also first HTML5 crypto-browser wallet.

This is not just a clone of another coin and actually many other coins have been using the Shadow source as basis for their own coins.

As for the R1 per SDC. That was written last week when BitCoin was much stronger. Right now SDC is worth 23500 satoshi on many credible exchanges ( http://www.bittrex.com , https://www.mintpal.com/ , https://www.cryptsy.com/ )
23500 Satoshi = $0.08 = R0.90 .

I notice that you edited your initial post, ignored my reply and then post something like this? To mine BitCoin right now you would have to invest a ridiculous amount of money to even start thinking about making a profit.
 
Well you could mine SDC for a time as well. I don't see what your point is?

ShadowCash is proof of stake. Meaning if you keep your SDC in your wallet then it creates more currency - Its an alternative to PoW ( Proof of work ).

Shame man, must be a big conspiracy for you. Crypto currencies are built on flakey economics and many are used as a ponzi scheme. Im sceptical of peoples intentions. Like if there is more uptake in the coin you stand to gain financially out of it. Hence I dont trust that are just here for egalitarian reasons. You should welcome this rather than react negatively., If you have nothing to worry about you dont have to be concerned about the extra scrutiny.

Well you ask whats different and special besides it being South African and I give you a list of the innovations but you just ignore that and continue on your "this is a ponzi scheme" horse. Yes I agree a lot of crypto currencies are dodgy with the intention of get rich fast and screw the little guy but I'm just trying to give attention to a genuinely innovative coin that is actually pushing crypto-currency forward and for that more people should know about it and invest if they so choose to.

I was underwhelmed. Perhaps there are important specs you are not telling us there, but I saw nothing that I thought "wow". If you are looking for a compliment I will say well done on putting some existing technologies together in a unique way. Its currently ranked 46th:

I really think you are missing the fact that I am not the developer nor do I have many SDC. My involvement in the coin has basically been helping with the testing of the HTML5 wallet and messaging system and that's about it.

I suggest you look into the significance of the dual-stealth address system and realize that this has brought crypto users 1 step closer to true anonymity and with the implementation of zk-snarks on the roadmap we might truly have a 100% anonymous transaction system.

Don't you think if anything was posted when the coin launched then you would consider it even more of a ponzi scheme with no previous credibility.

The only reason I posted on myBB is because it is a South African development and it is something worth knowing about and supporting, not just a clone and get rich quick scheme.

P.S In my opinion 46th is a great acheivement.

Well I know that StealthCoin (XST 34th on coinmarketcap.com) has taken the entirety of the stealth address module as their own ( Pleased to see they left the copyrights though ) -

I really don't get why everyone has their pitchforks raised ready to lynch me. This isn't "my" codebase as I've stated enough for it to have gotten old already.
 
If you want to be an advertiser you need to learn to do it properly or not at all. As such you need to be able to take the criticism.
 
We've rebranded several times. We used blackcoin as the base, as its a really great PoS system. Its environmentally friendly compared to and PoW chain.

Initially we were contributing to existing coins, but we wanted to introduce a truly private/anonymous cryptocurrency. We don't hold allot, there was no premine, nor was there any type of presale/IPO.

We just want to make a difference that's all :) I just posted it here to introduce it to some South Africans.

Our code is opensource, and we've done allot of development.

Ok, Well I think I have answered any questions as best and straight-forward as possible. I just don't understand the reason for such criticism without having the chance to respond in the first place.
