Hi,
Just a quick question, hope someone can give me a answer...
Some people, sell SDSL connections privately. A SDSL Modem on each side, operating on insanely fast speeds (naturally), using a point-to-point copper link supplied by Telkom (Analog Leased Lines, as the old terms have it).
Can anyone perhaps let me know exactly what kind of line is required from Telkom from this? Is this a DataTel (Analogue Leased Line), 2-Wire / 4-Wire / Special Quality line? Is it a normal outdoor extension line?
I've heard that Telkom sometimes put coils on Analogue Leased lines which makes it difficult to impossible to put SDSL on it, and hence, I'm asking...
Naturally I can understand the distance limitations and all those things... But for a quick few kilometers... What is required?
Thanks,
