Its been awhile since Seacom had their little incident and have stated it will be sorted out by the beginning of April, its nearly the middle of April and we haven't heard any news on the matter.

Don't leave your customers in the dark!

I just want to play my freaking Gran Turismo 5 ffs!

Err ....... it was fixed ages ago. There was an article about it, what are you on about?

They restored it using other ISP's , they are still not on Seacoms network. Seacom = Offline

I even asked mweb guy yesterday:

Me- When will SEACOM be fully restored to MWEB?

Mweb guy- I am not able to provide you any etr's as yet...

Last I heard somewhere mid April. Buy yeah they bought other capacity so consumers shouldn't be massively disadvantaged.

I got the following via one of Seacom's customers:
Cable ship Rene Descartes was arranged to the repair ground. The ship will lay a new landing cable due to shallow water. However, it is still waiting for the working permits from relevant authorities to start (also subject to TE North cable repaired) The tentative schedule was deferred to 21Apr-26Apr 2013.

Well yes, the download speeds I used to have, not there.
Now I have to wait to have this cable fixed

Since Seacom downtime..my lantecy in EU have increased with at least 40 :( ...downloads seems fine though

15 APRIL 2013

The repair vessel has been commissioned to the repair site and the current estimated time of repair is 22nd April 2013. This will be confirmed once the vessel reaches the location of the expected break and the team has assessed the damage to the subsea cable system. Dates are subject to change as per the weather conditions in the respective geography.

We will update further as information becomes available

Maybe check the Seacom site before making a thread.

Thanks Rickster for the thread as i too thought all was fixed.
