Oh well, with flippers and snorkel and wire cutter, this is an easy fix, oh a cordless dremel and butane soldering iron would really make this repair a no brainer.
... but then they heard about the Telkom freeze period and decided to take advantage of that. Now a new cable has landed and went earlier in operation than expected and Telkom anti-froze and BP reached their cap .... wait does this make any sense? No?

The real story is that the cable snapped because they didn't allow for techtonic movement....;-)

Um, It's already finished and completed the testing phase. Commercial launch is imminent and you will see new product offerings by September.
The cable actually "went live" yesterday.
