Seagate 7200.12 HDD's

A guy from my dad's work, apparently the stuff are being imported, thats all I know.
And this is all info I got:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 - 1TB HDD 32MB Cache - SATA 2 - 3.0GB/s
ST31000528AS

I know R500 is rediculously cheap, don't really care where he gets it from! lol

Yeah;)

Hopefully it didn't suffer too much g shock when it fell off the back of the truck ;)

:erm: But wait... Seagates never go wrong and need returning, do they?

I have one of these, built my system last night. I'll let you know if it bombs out. :P

From what I hear the .12s are okay.

Not all the .11's have issues.

Check the Seagate web with the serial number first... they did correct the problem after the initial batches were reported faulty.

I have a few and not one has given any hassles yet.

I would suggest for those of you who have the .11 hdd, update the firmwire before it dies on you like mine did on me last night! I only wished i had found out about the problematic .11 firmwire earlier :/
