Hi Forum

I have just moved and need good fast reliable internet. I currently have an account with WebAfrica for hosting purposes. Now i want to browse at home via ADSL (3G killing me)but not sure which ISP to go for. Advice was go for Imaginet and WebAfrica. Any advice from the forum of which ISPs i can go for? Also do these ISPs help in the application of the ADSL line or I have to apply for that before getting the Internet in from Telkom?

Hi Sirius

It would be best to get Telkom to install your adsl line then sign up with an ISP.

Once you have your adsl line installed then you can let me know and I will arrange a 7 day trial account for you to test with.

As someone who has a capped account with WA and uncapped with MWeb, I would put MWeb way ahead of WA.

My overall experience of MWEb is far superior to WA and since having the uncapped account with MWeb, my internet frustration levels have pretty much disappeared. :)

I would try a trial account from mweb, openweb and afrihost. Imho rather stick your line with telkom, because it makes process of changing isps much simpler and quicker.

Answer to this question does not exist, like with everything in life IDEAL is almost never there.

Comparing ISPs is similar like comparing cars, this one is better that that one is just your own perference. As Pr⊕phet said try few of them stick your line to Telkom and if you don't like it change it next month.

Hi all,

Thank you for the response you gave. I will work on getting in the Telkom line installed(hopefully!) and try the various ISPs mentioned. Though I must say I dont have an issue with WA hosting service. Absolutely brilliant so far :)

Thank you again. I will surely post more questions when they arise.

I am about to take my leave from Web Africa, because of their wrongful actions. One Mariska is there (they do not give their surnames) who at least keep her promise to keep her word of calling. One other man, don't.
