Secondary Professions

At level 25 you should have 225 max??
Note though that you can use higer level bandages (not the max ones though) even at lower skill levels...

As for secondary professions, I have FA maxed on all my chars. Its free heals and cloth is cheap, faster to grind using FA that food.

Cooking maxed on my mage, hunter and warrior... Easiest skill to max 3-4 hours from 0-375, if you can get the mats. Recipies are available all over...

Fishing, this is one skill I am sad to say that I dont have maxed on any char :( Food from fish at high skill (350+) is the best boosts in game!
Guess its time to level this up again while waiting for an Arena game to pop.

Druids dont HAVE to get first aid i am 50% feral 50% resto i never go oom not even when dueling a priest or shaman if mana is low bearform by the time your health is low your mana pools ok again.Priests will kick my as in duels but they go oom to fast for it(note good priests). In bg i usualy can go with no down time and i heal and buff others too.

Hmm, so it would seem it can be helpful to have the other professions. Cooking takes long to lvl and fishing is sooooo boring :p

I only have my First Aid at max...I use that a lot.

Cooking == Win.
You can easily level it as you level your char by holding on to any ingredients that drop. A mistake I made on many of my chars was selling everything and then only later leveling cooking.

Also just noticed that this is a WOW thread.:o

Crickey, this sounds like an interesting game.
Never played it before.
How long does it take before you're any good at it?

The game is an online role playing game and is based in a persistent world, meaning that the content regularly updates.

As to the how long till you get good at it. Your character(s) that you create gains levels as he gains experience. Coupled to that he also gains better gear (equipment), skills and talents.

There are guys / gals who have been playing for over 3yrs now.

For more info, try www.wow-europe.com

They have a free 10 days trial, try it but be warned, if it's your style of game, prepare to give up a significant portion of your life .....

I've been playing since last week (prolly 2-3 days worth of play) and I'm on level 13/14, It's a potload of fun and even though my character can't stand his man in battle yet, I've killed some lvl 12-14 'boss' around 20 troops by sneaking into his camp when I was much weaker (yes, everyone hates the rogues)

As for getting good, there are sooo many different things you can become good at. I'm at the point now where I dont know what skill to learn ... i have a choice between leathermaking (make your own armor) or go mining for items i can sell for profit. There are lots of possibilities.

As for the classes - its a case of rock/paper/scissors ... you will always be able to completely own some class, but there will always be a different class that will own you...no matter what you choose.

Yeh be warned. As mentioned, I've only been playing a few days and I'm already hooked on it. This friday's public holiday is being used for a 24hr marathon by a couple of us. If that doesn't make me gatvol of the game, nothing will. :D

Is there a single player version of WoW?
I want to test it out, been meaning to, but don't want to get addicted.

Fastest way to test out Wow (assuming you've got internet at home) is:

*Bribe a wow player in your area (CPT by looks of that funny mountain) to get their WoW directory to you (you don't need to install it with CD's, just a copy and play works 100% + its fully updated :p)

*Get yourself a 10 day trial from www.wow-europe.com for the EU trial or www.worldofwarcraft.com for the US trial. As Pitbull said, that entails getting to level 20, having max 100g I believe, and talking in most channels

Majority of us are in the EU realms

Sadly not. It wouldve been a nice RPG.

If you want to play similar things, I suggest you purchase a copy of the following games:

Single Player RPGs:
Fable
Dungeon Siege2
Buldur's Gate2
Neverwinter Nights 1/2 (sometimes slow)
Heroes of Might & Magic 5
Oblivion (tho a bit boring, but very involved)

All these games are based on/and compared to the immortal "Diablo2" gameplay.

*Obviously there are tons more to try out, but these are the only one I have experience with.*

For online RPG -

If money is an issue, I suggest you try your hand at Guild Wars, which costs in the order of R300 once off for each of the 4 game sets (you can start off from any of them) and you don't pay subscription. The game play is, in a nutshell, comparable with WoW and is also a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)

Have fun with all of these!
