If that is ZAR quoted, it compares favourably with our better courses' rates. Oubaai, Pezula et al is around R1200. It is not 40° C though, which would be enough reason to not even play in Dubai for free.

Its in Dirhams which is 5 to 1 currently so looking at 4k ZAR, Playing in the heat makes it interesting to say the least.

Play at Emirites club.

You can play at night.

I live close to Emirates golf club, I have played Faldo at night its fun. But Its a hard course at night. At least for my level of hacking.

Nice thread.

Also started playing again about 6 weeks ago.
Have played 9 or 18 holes once per week since.
I had clubs maybe 20 years ago and played a few rounds then and there.

Buddy asked if I wanted to play a round, said yes, picked up some Calllaway X-16 irons off marketplace for R1200, and the rest is history….

First lesson is on Thursday afternoon.

I want to find a proper “driving range” mat in Cape Town. I have a decent size area of astro turf outside, but irons will destroy that quickly.

Also building a hitting cage with a Garmin R10 launch monitor
