Well, I'm running AVG Free edition spyware + anti-virus & have not received any warnings or threats detected.

Hope not, we've picked up a trend increase in network activity and it looks suspicious. Nothing to panic about, just keeping an eye on it.

Running NOD32. Up to date. After my recent malware infection(which cost and lost me almost 200megs) i'm extra careful.

My usage stats are under very strict scrutiny!

yeah i have noticed it too, my data counter would keep running just buy connecting without any browsers open or updates running. so i uninstalled vc dashboard software and configured a new network connection. Now it has stopped. also lost a couple of megs. lol

If you saw data activity without anything obvious running, better do a virus / malware / rootkit scan!

Uninstalling the dash would have had no effect.
