Seether - Careless Whisper

I love it too. I sang along unashamedly when they played it on 5fm on my drive home just now. DJ Fresh said yes its cheesy, but at least they tried to melt the cheese a little bit, LMFAO!

Hilary Duff shocked me to all hell about 3 years go when she was DJing & playing the Smiths etc in the New York underground & gay club circuit. This is not even a joke.

Awful covers are what Scarlet Johannsen committed against Tom Waits. Not a modern *mainstream band covering another mainstream band from 20 years ago.

Mainstream = if we've seen/heard you on MTV on heavy rotation.

Seether- Careless Whisper

Best cover I have ever heard.
Especially considering they are from South Africa.
Great stuff.
You guys like it?

Are you guys joking?
You should be supportive of this amazing South African cover.
I think it is great!
I guess the radio stations do to as I have heard it on numerous occasions.

We will support good SA music....

Crap SA music will get slaughtered for being what it is.... crap.

Radio stations play popular music.. not necessarily good music.

No.. popular = popular..

The majority of humanity don't know what good music is, they just listen to what the marketing twits tell them they should listen to.

Opinion not fact. You have your opinion as to what good music is and I have mine. Fact.

No its a fact that popular music does not mean its good music.

5fm play shyte like Britney spears and hiphop and rap... therefore they are not playing good music... only popular music(and even that is questionable)

ha ha once again you are getting caught up in opinion.
who are you to say that rap and hip hop isn't good music?

rap and hip hop isn't music... its a bunch of twits saying random words.. and not singing...

at least R&B has some people singing.

I prefer the original version - George Michael's vocals are full of emotion which suits the song perfectly. Seether's cover is OK, but the instruments overpower the vocals IMHO (that might be why the cover version seems a bit slow).
