Hi.

I'm trying to setup up a completely self sufficient/reliant, remote network and devices, consisting of a sim router, 2 devices drawing max 2amps through USBc and a remote switch so I can power cycle the router if there are issues.

My idea thus far:

Run the whole system off 12vdc. Panel, charge controller to battery (20 ah 12vdc). Router powered directly through the reset, and devices running a off 12vdc to usb c connverters.

My main concern is size of battery and panels. Obviously theft is a concern so the smaller the better. The router draws 7watts at 220.

I've seen the solar powered routers at makro, anyone have any experience?

Also what happens if it goes flat after a couple dark days? Will it power on when the sun shines?

Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks.
