September Broadband Testing

RPM, what are you going to be doing with the results of the broadband testing other than posting them up ?

Same test results as mine, with tweaking I get better results only for as long as it takes Telkom to throttle the show again.

Rpm?

Thanks for the info will look at it just now. Wonder why the download only came down at 32KBps....... For a local download on ADSL1024 ? .Telkom FTP download test shows the usual 105 KBps.........Are we beign cheated by these so called Telkom test ??????????

RPM Report

Youre report is Great

......All ADSL result agrees with my own independent testing ( I thought maybe I am doing something wrong to get such ridiculous results)

Summary:
Edit Note :this is my personal findings on my own system and does not relate or RPM's findings or report at all. I have been misunderstood with my intentions here and apologize if the wrong impression were implcated.
Since connextion Via NukeCap proxy my speed doubled to 600+ Kbps and this confirms my believe that Telkom shaping is not what it should be. Therefore throttling my 1024 line to sub 512 performances

ADSL 1024 is a rip-off the only speed improvement is what TELKOM TEST reveal. Their shaping or other removes all potential benefit especially on international bandwidth. The potential is there by tweaking I get as high as 800 Kbps for short time periods or peaks on TCPIQ tests. That is why near full speed can be gained of these so called high speed proxy's and the other.

Users with ADSL512 get on average better results than ADSL1024 based on little I have seen in report feedback, even ADSL384 beat me in circles on average.

TELKOM is only there to ""steal"" from a small group of ""Abusers"" for their own profit.

There can not be competition if the Wholesaler competes with it's own customers by offering better performance packages, maybe even is in the position to throttle the ""competition"" performance to the extend that they move over to TELKOM directly

I will create my own report with graphs and data captured the last few weeks and lodge a official complaint with Icassa on the basis that I believe my ADSL1024 is nothing more than a crooked ADSL512 or even ADSL384

Rather just delete your own posts instead of being childish and editing every single one with the same message.
