I don’t want to give too much away, but one very interesting thing about the DiabloWikiWorldstone is that it kind of clamps down on mankind’s power. Since they are the offspring of DiabloWikiAngels and DiabloWikiDemons, they have the potential to become more powerful than Angels or Demons. But the Worldstone has been destroyed; it was destroyed at the end of Lord of Destruction. So what does that mean for mankind?

Well, you as the hero are starting to show these powers, that’s why you have all these great abilities you can use throughout the game. So as you grow in power, Heaven and Hell definitely take an interest in you.

I was actually loading up Diablo 2 about 3 weeks ago.

From what I remember about Diablo 2 way back what is it now? (12 years?)
It used to be EPIC and was ground breaking. I just think there is too much anticipation and hopes on Diablo 3. I have a feeling everyone is expecting that Diablo feel they had 12 years ago, which I'm afraid won't be the case. But I'll get it none the less :p. Just not expecting too much.

Finally! Was worried that I may be too old to dedicate an entire weekend to a game by the time it was finally released!

I've seen gameplay footage and it's guaranteed to be pants wettingly epic.

This should be good. It has been in dev for over a decade. Not that time is anything to go by (DNF) but it will still be a great game to play.

I'm a massive Blizzard fanboi :p

I'm sure Diablo 3 will be a great game, all Blizzard games are. It just dawned on me when I played Diablo 2 again. It's just not what it used to be when it came out.
And not it's got nothing to do with the GFX and so on. Just the general game play feel to it. Anyway, as I said: I'll get it for sure. I just don't want to get my hopes up to such a point that if I load the game I feel gutted.

Development


Development on Diablo III began in 2001 when Blizzard North was still in operation. The original artistic design differed from that shown at Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2008 demonstration, and had undergone three revisions before reaching the standards felt necessary by the team behind Diablo III.

Diablo III's lead designer is Jay Wilson, a former Relic Entertainment designer credited with work on Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Company of Heroes as well as Blood II: The Chosen for Monolith Productions. Its lead world designer is Leonard Boyarsky, one of the six co-creators of Fallout.[32]

The game is being planned for a simultaneous release on both Windows and Mac OS X platforms. Blizzard is considering a concept design for consoles, reportedly even hiring staff for a console version, while stating this concept will not affect PC/Macintosh release dates.

On May 9, 2011 an announcement by Mike Morhaime was made that Diablo III is currently expected to be released for external beta testing in Q3 of 2011.

On 1st August, 2011, it was reported that Diablo III will feature two types of auction houses; one where players spend in-game gold and another where players can buy or sell virtual items for real-world money.[36] The real money auction house will not be available in Hardcore mode. It was also revealed that the game would require a constant internet connection to play, even for single-player mode.

If I still had a gf, this is exactly what I would say! but its only beta, and the game will be out when its ready, and not before. that is blizzards mantra. Diablo III will be the 1st collectors edition of anything I will have ever bought :D

ya hope i get pre order in for the collectors , normally goes pretty quick at btgames.
