Server unable to detect WAN IP

Hey Guys,

I have a server that has an issue where if i go to http://whatsmyip.org the top of the page says "Your IP Address is" and thats it. Dyndns Updater says it cannot detect WAN IP.

What could be the cause of this because the DYNDNS Account is not updating because of this issue. BTW all other computers on the network can detect the WAN IP Address its just the server that cannot.

Is the server the WAN?

Normally for servers you need to specify the IP address/Gateway etc

Might be a NAT/PAT related issue.

Depending on your setup a quick router reset can help to make sure any odd config issues go away. If that is not an option logging into the router and checking any special forwarding rules and settings is the way to go.
