Diesel engines differ very little from petrol engines when it comes to basic servicing.
The usual:
- Remove sump plug and drain oil (let it drain thoroughly for an hour or two)
- Replace fuel, oil and air filters
- Put sump plug back in and fill with oil recommended by manufacturer
As with all things mechanical - make sure you keep the dirt on the outside (particularly when it comes to the fuel supply - fuel filter change).
You should be able to get a service manual from the manufacturer.
The hydraulics should be a totally different system (closed system) so no need to worry about that.
Expect to be having to bleed it after the fuel filter change tho.
Hand prime valve somewhere around the injector pump - crack highest nut on injector line - pump till all the air bubbles are gone & only fuel coming out.
I forgot about that.
If there is a braided fuel hose between the tank and the fuel injector pump it's often easy to get rid of the air by cracking open the bleed screw and tapping the fuel hose with a small spanner. The gravity feed from the tank plus the tapping normally gets all the air out.
