Is there any way to set up some sort of priority based system like shaping in a way, on my router's wireless and wired connection?

I want to be able to give priority to wired connection with a lan cable, so when I am gaming for instance, my game is not affected by the wireless connection being used?

I think you mean "THROTTLING" not shaping. Very different! Some SOHO routers have the ability to throttle (cap speed) per LAN or Wifi but I have no idea if you will be able to do this per port or per MAC address. This is normally only seen in larger setups (corporate).

Look for QoS by MAC address. Then work out the MAC addresses for all the devices connecting via wireless and add the relevant QoS rules for each.

MAC address you can get by opening a cmd window and typing "ipconfig /all". You're looking for this:
Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-29-6D-3C-2C-5D
I've got something similar here (Laptop running

Alternatively you could just try to up the priority on the ports used by your game.

How do I figure out the address for wireless devices?

Can you explain how to up ports for my game?

Google the game name +"ports". Then add it accordingly on your QoS page.

Thanks, I've got the ports, but I'm not quite sure how to use the QoS... I have a few options under the QoS menu:

Egress
Ingress
QoS Shaper Configuration
Policy Routing Configuration

Here is a screenshot of that screen. Sorry but I'm not sure quite what to do...
