you need to provide more information than that e.g.

what modem?
network provider?
what happens when you put the modem in the pc, have the drivers installed correctly?
do you get a signal strength on your modem dashboard?
are the laptop and the tower in the same location?
etc

The more info you provide on the forum the better the answer you will get.

This is probably also not a software issue so make sure you post to the right forum.

It is a vodacom k37.. something usb modem. When the pc picks up the usb modem it installs up to a certain point and then throws a error out which i am not familiar with. Could this have something to do with the drivers then? Thanks

Hi Gerrit,

As OMB mentioned, we need more specific information. If you plug in the K37.. to your desktop PC and it starts installing, what error does it give you - this is important, as it will tell you/us what the problem probably is. If necessary, take a screen dump (PrtScn button) and post it here using the photo library link.

Generally, it's either a driver issue or a setup issue, particularly when you get an error on the installer - although VMC is not the best software out there, it does generally install without issues...

Like OMB said provide more specific info
- OS used
- Modem model
- Do not use front usb's for modem
- Have u tried mdma (by ginggs) search forum ;)
- mdma will provide more info about signal, tower etc... u can post here
