Setting up Intranet

Hi All

I am trying to set up an intranet at work. I would like to set up the following:

• Allow a folder or gallery to view pictures (about 12gigs)
• List of documents
• Latest news
• Links
• Contact form
• Forum

I have a windows server 2008 R2 and have installed joomla on it but could not get all the permissions right and this caused some of the apps to work. When I tried to re-install joomla get a database error.

Is there any other way I can set up an decent intranet that will look professional.

Any suggestions will be welcome.

You'll need more than just Joomla. On my mobile now so can't elaborate. Will do so later.

I have tried to install SharePoint foundations. Some of the apps on the server causes problems with SharePoint. I give up. Not sure what to do.

Is there an other option that we can use?

I have got a other pc that I can use?
