Severe thunderstorms expected in Gauteng

Hope your insurance is in order chaps?

Found it interesting that on Monday Outsurance, Discovery and another one sent out SMSs to their client base who reside in Gauteng. Probably wary after a few years of damage claims.. But makes me wonder what they will say if you make a claim and you were at home.. Negligence?

Nope, the message doesn't let them do that...

Its more so that people are aware, and people will try and take action to avoid the incident since they won't want the inconvenience of getting their vehicle repaired.

No rain in Bloem. Just dust and wind. If there is "rain" its just enough to get the freshly washed car dirty.

I've been with SANTAM for a few years now. The SMSs are a standard service they offer. The SMSs have seldom been wrong, or the hail passed close by.

Yip,

after hail storms body repair places are very busy, so it takes longer to get your vehicle back.

Yikes! Yr.no is predicting about two and a half inches (±66mm) of rain between this evening and tomorrow morning for Pretoria.

Haul out your best boats folks! ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒

I was up on my roof in the pouring rain at 8pm last night cleaning out gutters. I took a chance because the lightning seemed to have subsided. It was quite refreshing.
I hate Jacaranda trees.

Last night's storm blew my UPS/Inverter.
Lightening was hectic and when it hit it sounded like it was right next to me.
Anyhow anyone know of a repairers in Pta East?
Luckily just the ups and not the +- R80k worth of electronics attached to it.

Wind is hectic and ice cold in Pretoria East. Hope it's only mild long rain.

Raining in Brackenhurst now...

A nice soaking rain!

Started off heavy and windy, but it's nice and consistent now...
