I recently signed up at SFA ISP for a 1gb free account and i got the voucher at gumtree and thought the 1gb will be free every month like Afrihost, but this month i had to pay R28.90 for the gig because the voucher was only for one month.

Now I want to cancel the account but my emails fails to go through to their email addresses so I cant cancel the account.

What else can I do?
 
Try phoning the company.If all else fails then tell you bank to stop the monthly transactions.(credit card ,bank transfer ect).
 
The bastards just charged me! :mad:

In the introductory email SFA states clearly that....
Billing:
Please note that we process debit order billing for your Internet services during the first week of every month.
This debit order will appear on your banking statement as "NETCASH INTERNET SUBS".

I then received a voucher expiry notification on Fri, Jan 7, 2011 at 12:59 AM telling me that my voucher is expiring and it also stated... "Please note that the next billing run is on the 1st of February 2011." That matched with their first email stating that billing runs in the first week, meaning I still had till the end of the month to cancel my account. I responded asking what the normal charges would be. Got a response that I would be charged R28 per gig. Then on Fri, Jan 7, 2011 at 2:48 PM I replied to that, trying to spare myself the trouble later on (if I eg. forget) specifically asking them to please cancel my account.

Then just a few minutes ago I got a Notification SMS from ABSA:
Absa: CHEQ1211, Sch t, 27/01/11 SETTLEMENT/C - ACB DEBIT:EXTERNAL, NETCASH 12131211 INTERNET SU, R-28.00, Balance R2923721.23. Help 086008600; VENTELD054

Someone is going to be hearing from me tomorrow.
 
Wraggies... Branded Internet don't want to know anything. "Procedure sir". Procedure se voet man. I asked that they cancel the account, no one even went so far as to just respond to the email and pointing me to these procedures... eish

Guys guys guys ... if that balance was real, roflol. As a matter of fact, to make matters worse, I am going to be charged an exorbitant fee by ABSA because my Cheque account went 45 freaking cents into the red! Something I rectified within minutes (I keep my actual ~R3Mil balance on my credit card to at least get some interest).

So the damage is R28 that they charged me illegally, then the R57 penalty fee because my account went 45 freaking cents into the red and then lastly the R26 fee absa will charge me to reverse the R28 charge. R83 stolen from me because Branded Internet // SFA ISP are a bunch of idiots.
