Ok so i've been following the sgs4 for a while now and there are a few bits of information i haven't been able to pick up mainly 2.

first of all i know the phone comes with 2 variations of processors, the snapdrogan kind and the samsung octacore kind. What i wanna know is which kind is south africa getting. What i've picked up is that we are getting the samsung octa core beast which is good but what i want to know is will we get the snapdragon variant later or is that just for USA?

secondly and i feel like a noob asking this because i'm just to lazy to go find this out myself. Will it come in variations of 16/32/64g or will it set storage across every phone at say 16g so no option as to what internal storage size you get?

lastly just for fun i want peoples opinions on color, which would you recommend white/black, say whether its personal preference or because of predicted issues that could come with the color like scratches are more easily seen or something.

1. We get the octa, which is HSPA+ capable, but not LTE. The LTE one will come later.
2. Knowing Vodacom, it will most probably be the 16GB el cheapo one. They pulled a cheapskate on me with my S2, which only had a paltry 1GB SD card in. :(
3. Get the black one, the white one looks retarded inside a cover. And most covers are black.

I hope we can choose between 16 and 32GB at launch, if not then a bigger SD card is in order, i agree with the black colour kingrob :p
I have yet to see a proper review of the Exynos 5 Octa variant, hopefully the battery life is even better :D

I saw that link ;), Exynos 5 sure is fast! Thats why i want to know more about the battery life :D
Thats the only part still not fully revealed..

I'm sure you will be ok with the 2600mAh battery.

If not, just buy a second battery and hotswop it. Easy.

Not gonna get a new phone anytime soon. Still in love with my current phone. ;)

My Galaxy S2 has the extended battery, which gives it extra juice, but it also makes it feel premium, with a fantastic grip, and supersexy look.

The phone is fast and responsive with the official Samsung Jellybean ROM & absolutely perfect for me.

Also love the size of the S2 and its robustness, I don't even use a cover!
The S3 is extremely flimsy, but hopefully the S4 will be a bit better.

*Enjoy your new phone!

The S2 was a great phone, i got my mother father and brother 1
But now im kind of in a pickle, i sold my S3 2 months ago and my original note n7000 got thrown
Now im using the prehistoric iphone 3gs lol, 27th must come asap!

Why did you sell your S3??

In anticipation for the S4 launch?

In short yes, i was actually holding off for the Htc One. But after a bit research and now the delays im sticking to Samsung.

The benefits outweigh the negatives eg. "plasticky" as some might say

Don't know if I'll be getting one at all personally, I'm just waiting to get my GS3 back from repairs, I'm still loving it, it's the 32GB variant which seem to be globally rare. Think what I'll do is try the GS4 at one of those Samsung pop-up stands, I'm sure they'll do one at Fourways Mall again as they did with the GS3, if I don't feel it's enough of an upgrade then I'm heading to Fourawys Crossing and I'm getting the extended 3000mAh battery pack.

Personally, I don't think it's worth the upgrade if you have an S3. Most of the new software feature will make its way down to the S3.

The 1080p display is enough reason.

Mind you, the 2GB RAM is also nice.

Admittedly its nice, but it doesn't make the upgrade a must have. You probably won't notice the difference unless you put the 2 next to each other.

You would definitely notice the 1080p display.
