I personally think all known crooks in high places should be shot
This will save us a lot of money, embarrassment and a deterrent to future attempts by other to waltz the law ;)

Has anyone considered that the jails are overcrowded - violent crimes get bail and reduced sentences all the time and then just go back to robbing, killing, etc. I think guys who get convicted of crimes such as fraud and the like - so called white collar crimes should be forced to pay a huge fine and/or restitution to the victims and in lieu of jail time should do community service. For example if you are lawyer and your sentence is for 5 years then for 5 years you provide your services for free to communities who can't afford them. Same for accountants - lots of NGOS and non profit orgs. need books done, audits etc. and they would really benefit from not having to pay the fees.

In this way all the rapists, murderers, etc. can be locked away properly.
