Hi all I need to share my 3g connect with my wireless.

This is what I hardware and software I have

Windows 7
Vodafone HUAWEI 3g modem
Telkom wiress

This is what I can do

I am able to share the 3g connection in widows 7. So that I can connect a cat5 cable from the widows7 to a pc or PS3 and i am able to connect to the net with no problem.

I can connect my wireless to my PC with a cat5 cable and i am able to connect to this network wireless with my laptop and PS3. I can also access shares in this network.

This is what I need

I would like to connect my wireless to pc and share the 3g connect via the wireless so that i can access the net with my laptop and ps3

I am sure it might seem hard to do but i am sure it is possible

I would have suggested you go get yourself the Draytek 2820 Router as it has a built in USB port specifically for 3G modems... I have that setup for my branches and currently running IPsec tunnels through them... its easier that way imo :) dunno if this will help though ;)

As posted by a fellow Mybb member(sorry bro, can't remember who you are, but you get the credit):

Turn your Windows 7 laptop into a WiFi hotspot to share the Internet with friends, co-workers, and mobile devices.

Hope it helps. Let me know if it works :)

thanks guys I will try the windows 7 hot spot .....will info you if it works

I'm busy testing a device to do exactly that (benifits of working for a local distrubutor) : Take your 3G modem and add a wireless router. In general, the devices I have seen have poor support for the 3G dongles, and iffy setups. Also have a broadband with 3G backup router I'm testing. Hopefully some products make the pass mark :|
