I can so agree to this.
At my school, if mail gets clogged up either way, I get moaned at a lot until it's fixed, yet often the situation is out of my hands. People in this school are mail addicts, yet funnily enough they never seem to read or reply to the truly important mails.
I think this SaaS idea is quite interesting, worth looking into one day.
