I must echo the sentiments of some of the others in this thread. Terrible game. Why were we kicking it away needlessly and why when we did kick it away to relieve pressure behind our 22 did we not find touch? Why was there so much one-handed slapping of the ball down to the scrummie from lineouts? You could have sworn McLeod was a commercial diver what with all the pressure he had to deal with when that ball came tumbling down like that.
 
Didn't watch the game, but if they were kicking the ball away in New Zealand then they deserve to loose. In fact any time who kicks the ball back to their opponents don't deserve to be watched.
 
Awesome game, we messed up the first half horribly. Bonus point is still a job done.

I agree, I still had a piece of me wanting him to be a starting player & captain but really his time as come and his captancy isnt adding anymore to the team.

But anyway, was a cracker of a game. Although its a worrying sight for the Springboks if we have to face that midfeild combo, it was devastating!
 
At least the northeners now know our rugbys better, although we should set up some exibhition matches vs one of their teams.
 
we should of kept Strauss and maybe look for some backups. Maybe even overseas, the europeans like coming to play for us.
 
we also need another reliable kicker, because those missied penalties and conversions would of helped alot
 
Major problems in the midfield defensively. I also sense that there is a bit of discord in the camp between Terblanche and Smit as captains.

Smitty really needs to lift himself because he's just not up to par these days. Another player who I believe is the most over-rated of all is Bismarck Du Plessis. Jeez, this dude loses more balls and gives away more possession than anyone else. It happens with his line-out throws and when he tries to go upright into the contact situation. Frustrating as hell to watch.

But the biggest problem is definitely in defence. After not having conceded any tries in four matches they go and concede more than a dozen in the last three? Just not good enough.
