Shaving

No they don't give you as good a shave as the Mach 3's, that is true. But it's quite serviceable unless you're unusually hirsute.

I have a Philips wet/dry shaver.

I actually tested the waterproof claim by running it completely submerged in the bath. :D

I don't want to know what you tested it on...

But yes, 80 bucks for four pieces of plastic and some metal is astonishingly expensive.

Ranks up there with the price of printer cartridges.

Nobody using a brush and cut-throat ?

I use a brush and soap pot but no - not a cut-throat. :)

Nooo!! :D

I just let it run without chopping any hair. You can toss it in the swimming pool and it will still run, no problem. :p

I've tried an electric for a few weeks. Philishave top of the range a few years back. Shave wasn't very close. Far prefer a normal straight blade.

The new Fusion razors are so brilliant I'm sure they could bring about world peace!

I still dont get theses razors with the batteries (i think its the Fusion)...does it vibrate or what.....I just want a blade that cuts hair, seems Gillette always have some gimmick up their sleeve and its usually 25% more expensive!

What Razor Do You Use?

Disposable and NON-Disposable...

And how long do you use it before throwing the blade/it away?

EDIT: I use Schick Quattro, non disposable.

NON-Disposable - gillette fusion FTW :o You can't compare any disposable razor to this one. (Blades usally last 2months or so)

Is it your fist time, Pooky? LOL!

Shame miss Blu :(

Pooky, I normally use an old Gillette Mach3, but Bic disposables work just as well. If I forget to buy, I normally just use my dad's double sided shaver with minora blades - it's still the closest shave you can get.

But like the saying with minora blades go ... you shave @ 7 and bleed 'til 11.

Gilllete Fusion vibrating razor.........
Hate the price of blades though... Clicks Sandton City has 4 for R190!!!!!:eek::confused:

Gillette Mach 3.

I used an electric razor until the blades went blunt and I discovered you can't get replacements in SA. You need to buy another 2k razor.
