Shaving

I tried it on a small patch of chest hair that goes down the sternum.

 never again!

Waxing is conclusive proof that women are just insane... who the hell willingly puts themselves through that kind of pain.... *shakes head*

This thread has inspired me to ditch the Mach3. Went out and got myself a cheap lion razor, a box of minora blades and a cheap brush to try out. Took me a few shaves to get used to not pressing so hard but i like it.. esp the cost of blades!

Now im ready to get something proper. Where can i find a decent set which includes a razor, brush, bowl and proper soap?

I've been looking for a decent set too. :o

i got a ww2 safety razor off ebay for like £3, silver even:-)

blades are plentiful and cheap...but the proper brush was a mission to find. i could get cheap ones everywhere with bristles that looked like plastic, but i figured with the money i saved on mach3 blades i could get a proper brush for like £30. got it form some online shop here, but now a badger doesnt have any hair, hehehehe. works a treat.

p.s. with regard to blades, i'm paying £1 for 10 gillette blades..the usual double sided ones, and i find a blade can last a week, or around 4-5 shaves.

i'm still struggling to find a decent cream/soap to use, either i dont have enough experience or i am thick, but it is difficult to get a good lather.

I've also been using Wahl clippers recently. Much less hassle than a proper razor and frankly I think it looks better. :)

with the price of razor blades i think many people are looking for alternatives. I've noticed blokes at work dont shave so often anymore either..

one day they will invent nano-shavers. yup. you will buy your jar of gray goop and program the look you may want and then smear it on the areas you want shaved, go to sleep and if the nano-tech has not crashed, wash and wala. shaved while you slept.

i will however wait till service pack 8 before i attempt to use Nano-Shave (tm)
powered by Windows Vista 2010 SP11.

... the result being that the nanoshavers would STILL melt your face. :p

Shaving is the devils work.....

plain and simple, i HATE it... but one needs to do it to look clean and neat for work (or at least vaguely clean and neat)

I alternate between between Wet and Dry, but really you can't beat Wet.

I hate dry shave, ingroing hair, no thanx. Shave every 2nd day with mach 3 turbo. Over the w/e don't shave at all, unless I have a function on or something important.

Normally wet shave every day with Mach3 unless I have something on in the evening then I shave twice a day. Hairy bugger me :)

I left my Mach3 on holiday and I had to use a disposable (actually 2) yesterday. My face is still burning :(

I didn't shave today. To scared :)... Will get my Mach3 back on Friday hopefully

Mach3 Turbo... but dont really use de vibrate function... just slows things down...
Shave every 2nd/3rd day... sometimes 5/6 days to go for the ruff look!

I shave with water and soap. Used to be just water, but my beard's gotten harder since getting a gf. :( Anyway, I shave 3 times a week, and my razor of choice is Bic Soleil ladies' disposable. Seriously, these things are better on my face than anything in the guys' department. As a bonus they're cheap, and also last a good couple of months for a box o 4.

Used to shave once a week... sucks how the more you shave the more you need to.
