The senator can only intervene if its gone beyond the normal processing time, which typically happens these days with the NVC severely backlogged, and if they send a request for information it resets the clock.

That would be best, because the panel doctor that does it in JNB now needs two trips, whereas the CT doctor does it in one trip.

Best she take a rental car from the airport to the doctor in the Water Front and to the X-ray place in the city - the CT doc's staff will line things up so that she can wrap everything up in one day.

It takes 7 to 10 days for them to courier the results to the consulate.
