Sheep in the suburbs

Interesting to speculate on the storm that would erupt if the property owner next to the owner of the 50 sheep put a few pigs on his property.

And said pigs then wander onto neighbours property as happened here... I can just imagine the schitestorm.

I'm surrounded by animals. but then again you don't pay personal property taxes if you have a certain number of livestock on your property. thinks it's 4 or 5 animals.

Can you keep 60 and how big is your property?

I don't want to turn this into an issue again, as we already had a topic like this before. But the one Call to prayer which most people found annoying, was the early morning one. Then you have one at 1pm, around 3/4pm and then again at around 6 and 7/8pm. The call to prayer lasts around a minute or 2, so I really can't understand how or why it's such an issue when in total, it's about 10 mins out of a 24 hour day.

The same applies to the slaughtering of sheep, that happens once a year for Eid. In general, most households don't slaughter more than a few sheep. 50 doesn't sound right, and would normally be done on a farm for that amount of sheep, because it would take far too much time. The most I've seen was around 10 to 15.

It's not an issue but the bylaws have levels which are acceptable and if the call to prayer breaches those levels it needs to be dealt with regardless of time of day etc etc

In white 'culture' it's simply not done and secondly it's illegal. It's not like the person said you can't live here because you're a dirty fscking muslim etc etc and the person was 100% correct in saying you can'k keep sheep there. If a coloured guy said Bishops Lavis is a coloured area we all know exactly what that means and nobody would call him racist for that. If Lenasia for example is a Muslim area and their bylaws say you can keep farm animals and people are happy with it then good for them. Same goes for a rural 'black' area where keeping large amounts of animals close by, I know it's acceptable practice to them so no cry on my part. Cultural differences, laws and all that.

The ironic thing from that article is this, "“I am very disappointed because I try to be as tolerant and accommodating of everyone as I can.”"

How the fsck is he being tolerant? He is the one housing 60 odd farm animals which make a noise, smell, the droppings attract flies and he is contravening several laws but it's his neighbours that are the intolerant ones so let's cry persecuted muslim. Fsck him, his religion he uses as justification, his intolerance of the greater community and all the mofos that support him I reckon.

I'm sorry but not sure where you live but There are no longer white areas . This muslim guy was wrong for contravening the bylaws of a suburb- not the laws of a white area ( the days of carrying a pass are long gone where contravening the laws of a white area meant a person of colour being there)!
I'm not making excuses for his behavior, as i said before some guys complaining have every right to and my religion aside if it contravenes the by laws there's no racial reason for them complaining (even if they are accused of it) and i agree wit them, but as i also said before some people will complain based on racial prejudice and you clearly are making excuses for those. If the person did not base is reaction on race he should not have said white area. That's intolerant! and you are worse for condoning that type of attitude.

I don't see why it should be done over loudspeaker though when loudspeakers weren't around when it was invented. What's ironic is how some Mosques don't want to use technology for those interested yet they're already using technology. Same I don't see why churches should have bells except for special occasions. Everyone who's interested can find out where the church is and everyone has watches.

I am all for religious freedom but when it's 60 sheep it's no longer what the religion requires but rather a business opportunity. Heck I don't see why any business should be on residential property and that includes doctors, lawyers, accountants, beauty salons and most of all crèches.

While I agree with this general sentiment there is still such a thing as the general population in an area and what they find acceptable. While it's not purely based on race I don't think it was meant to be racist. If he had said it was a white area so Muslims aren't welcome there it would have been a different issue but I see it more as referring to the culture of the general population in the area.

The day I agree with a post from Swa...

Well you pretty much said what I was trying to get across. I did use the word 'culture' often but it seems it was ignored. Anyway carry on, I'll collect some stones with sufficient weight and you can stone me at sunrise for my heresy & racism. Whatever floats your boat.

PS my last request would be a crispy bacon sarmie using fresh bread and real butter.

think about it neighbours here are in the right but the one that decided to bring in race automatically gives the impression of racially motivated.

BTW what is white culture? Afrikaans , english, dutch?

You're picking on a few words, see post #137 again wrt my reasoning on the matter. I disagree with you, end of story, if that makes me a racist muslim hater then so be it.
