i think this is the correct thread for this problem,,,,

okay my problem is: when i plug in speakers or a mic, i have to go to "IDT audio Control Panel" and tell it what has been plugged in, the program (IDT audio Control Panel) works fine untill i click on a jack (to show the PC what has been plugged in, like speakers or mic) when i click on the jack i get this message....
"An exception occured while trying to run "C:\windows\system32\shell32.dll,CONTROL_runDLL"C:\Windows\system32\idtsg.cpl",IDT audio control panel"

-.- this way, i can plug things in but nothing plays,,, i've tried updating drivers, nothing helps,
Here is screenie:

You'll notice that it's RunDLL which is executing the command. RunDLL is used to execute Control Panel "applets".

There is something wrong with the referenced IDTSG.CPL file.

yeah, i guess thats from IDT audio,,,, but how do i fix it? i tried re-installing

I don't think you can fix it unless you have the source of the IDTSG.CPL application. You need to contact your vendor and ask for a update of the application or if they know about any issues.

Regards,

what if i un-install the program,,, will that make all the stuff work,,, the PC i am on now doesnt have an program like that
