Shoe whores

Im an avid runner and enjoy a neutral running shoe. I came across these Nike Quest 6 Running Shoes. Does anyone have experience using these for running or going to the gym?

Thanks in advance :)

These you can use at gym however the correct gym shoe has more flat sole. Look at the Metcons and UA Tribase and compare to the Quest. But it all depends on what you do at gym I guess.

Bought a new pair of running shoes after a few years out. My goodness have they gotten expensive. Despite a number of Jordans in my collection (1s bought at retail), my Vomero 18 runner is now my most expensive "sneaker". Gonna wear this thing for fancy functions.

I’m looking at the Vomero plus for carrying my fat ass on longer runs.

WIfe bought me a pair Asics running shoes, as I promised I would start running again to get rid of the boep. I used to run with the cumulus, but those shoes are crazy expensive.

Im in the same boat. Used to use the vomero as im heavy. Last one was a 12. Shows how long i havent been running.

The 18 feels good so far. I think its more supportive than the plus. Plus will be cushier but not as supportive

I’ll give them a whirl when I go fit shoes. Thanks for the feedback

What are you paying for the Vomeros?
This end of the world(UK) Jordon 1s are about the same money but you can pick up plain black Vomeros for quite a bit less.

Anyone know of a physical shop with a good stock of Grasshopper shoes? I want a pair of the Wallaby style if they’re decent quality.

In Durban there is a chain called Men's Shoe Centre. Not sure if this is a national chain. They had a good range of casual to formal footwear. Grasshoppers, Bass, Florsheim, Crocket & Jones, Barker, etc.

Doesn't appear to be national but there are some Tekkie Town. I'll go have a look.

I see a lot of the Crocket & Jones and Barker around but they're generally a glued shoe (not Goodyear) and made in India.

Dont they make Barker and C&J in Epping? When did they move?
