Sounds good, will have to make do with my backup Afrihost and WA accounts from Saturday morning till midnight. I do hope I won't need a backup account and gaming account etc.. after experiencing Crystal Web. One account to rule them all. :)

So rather than explain that, this new ISP is simply ignoring that question?!. It isn't a good sign.

Personally, knowing who provides the bandwidth is vital to predicting the performance, particularly if you are based regionally.

I'm hedging my bets.

From July my Web Africa will be a home account while I test out Crystal Web.

Err?

They said they prefer NOT to disclose the backbone provider at this point in time, it will be revealed post launch. Nothing wrong about that.

They are also definitely not operating "regionally". Telkom has 5 major cities at which they make IPC available, i.e. 5 locations where ISPs can connect to IPConnect facilities. From my understanding, they are connecting to all 5 locations, hence, they cannot obtain IPC from any more sources as Telkom makes no more than 5 available.

Not quite sure what "bad sign" you are referring too...
 
Enquiry made. With OW at the moment, but "regular" daytime browsing seems to be suffering

The following sentence in the welcome mail doesn't sit quite right with me though...

"For pop3 emails, your smtp server address is: smtp.uncappedbuss.net"

Thanks, I hadn't actually noticed that. It is a little clumsy. The purpose though is that if you are receiving mail using POP3 you need to adjust your settings to reflect our SMTP server.
