Same boat ... in terms of owning a PS3, Wii and 360. Only bought the Xbox 360 brand new. Wii and PS3 are pre-owned but in good nick.

Taking it easy on the Edgars account though ... need to 're-stock' my wardrobe so other niceties are taking a back seat :(

That's the problem, I can't use my credit cards as they're maxed already (used it to buy the 360, the Wii and the 32" LCD :o) I'm a very impulsive buyer:o OMW!

BTW, what's the monthly repayment like on the Slim if you buy it on the Edgars Interest Free 6 month thingamabob?

I'm not sure. i'll only get an account next month. but i'm planning to pay it off in 3 months. hang on let me see if the instalment amount is available yet...(i had a small balance o/s before i bought the ps3)

nah, nothing there yet, not even on the interim statement. it only shows monday's purchase. i think it's too soon. but take R4500/6=R750.00.

I was thinking about R2200 neg. It's 4 months old. Bought a few extras like the component cable (makes quite a difference in the picture quality!), Guitar Hero controller, Wii Motion Plus add-on. It's also setup for Homebru.

i asked at phase 2 when we're getting the game on friday, he says he doesn't know but he can import it from uk for me as they get stuff from there quickly :erm: it's only releasing in US on 15th Nov i think, how will the uk get it so fast?

+ a ps3? im interested.how do you have all these consoles setup?
are they all on the same room or do you only have the one you currently playing setup :confused::eek:
 
I own all 3 and it's in the same room. Component for the 360, AV for the Wii and HDMI for the PS3.

One HDTV can handle all that!

i have the ps3 and xbox set up at the mo' then i will unplug one when done and plug in the wii. only been playing ps3 since i got it - you know, shiny new toy...
 
Why not just hold on to the Wii. I don't know about you, but I believe that true gamers must have a PS3 + Wii or Xbox + Wii to cover all grounds.
 
Not really... You should sell the wii, some good advice here especially about the market flooding and lackluster prices once the wiiHD is announced.

To be a "true gamer" you just need to game! I have 2x PS3's, a 360 and a wii, got them all 2nd hand, and having more then one console is not actually necessary... Why? Because I only ever play my ps3, too many games keeping me busy there, even though I have plenty xbox and wii games, I never use them (heck I use the 2nd ps3 more then both combined).

So you only need one console really (unless exclusives on other platforms tickle your fancy), otherwise you might just be making the biggest mistake of your life :)
 
i got a wii and ps3. I NEVER use the Wii, the ps3 is all I need.

Sell the Wii!

Sooo.... I finally decided to sell the Wii. Someone is coming to buy it tomorrow. And I couldn't resist the urge and went out to buy the PS3 Slim 120gig. Got it at Pick n Pay Hypermarket (Brackenfell) for R3699 (even cheaper than Take2's R3799). Just got home so I'm going to setup this bad boy up now.

Any tips/suggestions/anything I should know about the PS3?

How do I set up the internet connection on it? (don't have wifi access point, only ethernet)
