I voted no.

We need to have a few teething seasons.
Look how bad Fergie's start was?
Let's wait it out :)

I also voted no.

I am a man U fan, and I think he just needs time to settle into the grove of things. he has done amazing things with other teams, there is just a bit of a chip on the club's shoulder.

drop down for a few seasons, prove money cannot buy wins, then rally a team around itself and come out swinging in the 2018/2019 season and prepare for another two decades with one coach that will be remembered as the greatest ever.

but there is also merit in bringing Sir Alex back for two seasons to be head coach with LVG learning from him. it might be the fastest way to get the results we all want again.

but I believe stay in for the long haul.

:wtf: - as in, *gulp* relegation!!

I don't think the owners, players, coach would survive the backlash

I don't think that LVG's personality would allow him to learn from anyone.

Surely if he is available it would only be at the end of the season. If Louis gets fired on monday, who takes over?

I would love if Mou took over for the rest of the season...maybe even time to bring in a player or two if he can get the job today...:D

Likely Giggs to see the season out.

If that does happen I'd maybe see if there is a change in the way they play and consider giving him a deal as a full-time manager.

I doubt Mou would come in for a patchwork job with no guarantee of it being permanent.

I also have my reservations. There is a clear trend with him. A couple of good seasons before it goes to hell.

Management is a short term business nowadays. We could do with a few good seasons and then change it up again

He signed a 3 year contract and has said several times that he will not be extending it due to family reasons.

His last season with Utd will be 2016/2017, if he makes it that long.

Simple facts:

1. He is not performing
2. He has great players, plugged the holes we were missing, got rid of the dead wood, yet can't make the right decisions
2.1 Saying Rooney doesn't need competition for that starting XI position by shifting out Januzaj, Wilson, RVP, Hernandez
2.2 Brings in Memphis but doesn't know how to utilise him properly so he basically is now a bench warmer
2.3 Play's Martial out wide
3. Substitutions during a match
3.1 Against Wolfsburg we needed a win he brings on 1 defender a straight swop on CDM and plays a young defender against Draxler/Schurrle instead of Ashley Young...
3.2 Against Newcastle, winning 3-1 sees Fellaini and Schneiderlin getting over run by Newcastle does nothing to stabilise the midfield
3.3 Keeps playing Blind at CB or LB gets found out by pacy players - we conceed goals (Newcastle, Stoke, Norwich, etc)
4. Failures
4.1 Play's our starting XI against every tom dick and harry team (Capital one cup, fa cup, champions league) and has the nerve to say our players are in the red zone...
4.2 Continues to play Rooney when he was out of form
4.3 Tells us he will change if the fans show that we are unhappy, fans are unhappy he turns on us and tells us that we cannot order him to do what we want... (All we want is to see United attack, attack attack) Win/Lose at least we know we tried.
4.4 Refuses to try the youngsters against Derby, Middlesbrough, etc (Pereria and Herrera are wasted on the bench while they watch Fellaini lumber around)
4.5 Plays Fellaini as a CDM... then against Newcastle he was the target man and then the CB... wtf?
4.6 Failure to stand up and bark orders at players - showing lack of interest in the team - if he could jump up and high five RVP at the world cup for Netherlands why can't he stand on the sidelines and bark orders at the players?
4.7 His philosophy to keep possession doing NOTHING with it

The players can always go an unofficial strike like at Chelsea and get rid of the manager.

If this was the case, then United owners hired him in hope of a few glory years as opposed to a long term plan.

Not true, they hired him to rebuild the team and put foundations in place. On numerous occasions they have laid out their hopes for the team. Season 1, top 4. Season 2, challenge for the league. Season 3, win the league. Hardly a hope of a few glory years.

I still maintain that Giggs was the long term plan. LVG was just brought in to facilitate this transition. What makes it difficult now is that Van Gaal is not doing that well and the time might not right for Giggs to take over yet.

Unless they come under severe pressure from the fans, I don't see him getting the sack.
