Should schools close for October holidays?

There was as many people moaning to keep the schools closed as there was to keep the schools open. PS, I am being generous with my statement, I am sure more people wanted schools to remain locked and shut.

All the holidays should have been shortened to get back to where they should have been academically by now. The majority of schools will be way behind, but some kept up just like the private schools that opened completely last year. It is unfortunate that individual schools are not allowed to determine their own holidays.

I’m glad I never had to deal with all that one day on, one day off nonsense or messing with the curriculum.
