Should schools close for October holidays?

I dont have kids but the kids (state school) on my street seem to be going to school every other day? So whats the point of closing in Oct...All these kids do all day is kick a ball up and down the street....
Give them something to do....school....

Schools should close for everyone but Matriculants can choose if they prefer to go to school or study at home in the October Holidays
