[X] Yes, and perhaps they do should more so than ever. Is there still an actual for usecase for schools as it is currently? Perhaps as a whole it needs a serious revision end to end.

Yes, the schools must close in October.

1. Many people have already booked and paid for holidays in that time.

2. Teachers and learners need a proper break between terms. A long weekend will not cut it.

3. The whole reason to scrap the holiday is so that schools can catch up. Many schools don't need this extra time and are caught up. The curriculum was also trimmed, what do we extra time for?

4. If schools do need to catch up they can use the two weeks at the end of term 4 that is traditionally used for admin. There is no need to take away the holiday.

They should just push straight to December, get it done and maybe even extend December holidays a bit so people can rest from what has been another icky year.

Lower pass rate to 5%, then keep kids at home. The teachers will be safe and the kids will have a diploma.

Kids are so messed around already. They can go back to school in their 30's
this,
with all the Covid interruptions and online classes and all of that,
how much did the kids actually learn at school?

or again the pass rate is lowered to 10% so practically if you can write your name, you pass matric.
