monkey101, is that snowstorm widget for weather you are running there? if so how did you get the transparency? also how did you get the time and weather together? is the time thing the TAJm app?

Yes it is snowstorm. There is a background transparancy option in settings.
And its both Tajm and BattStatt side by side. With Snowstorm above it. (the widget next to the time is BattStatt)
 
ALright, here's mine. Call me boring, but I love simplicity and symmetry :)

I have a screen on the left, as well as the right of this one, but they're both empty.

This screen might LOOK simple, but it's really functional. From this screen, with one single tap or stroke, I can access:

Phone
SMS
App Drawer
Email
Browser
Create a Reminder
Show my notification bar
Bring down the notification drawer
Open up the market
Launch TweetDeck
Open Settings

I can do all of those with one tap, from this home screen. So it looks very simple, but it's very functional :) I love it!

EDIT: That's a binary clock btw.
 
Well here is what I came up with after flashing a new ROM yesterday... I don't like it much, will change, but here it is :)

LoL, no, you have to upload the picture somewhere and then post a link to that or
.

You can upload the picture to the MyBB gallery or use another site like photobucket...

Had to edit a lot becuase png was too big, so saved as jpeg, so lost a lot of detail

THE glass bar at the top is from the mod thread on XDA

the battery widget is battstatt

I find it interesting how many people (including me! :D) have the same kind of layout:
  • Left: Widgets / Switches
  • Middle: Main, as uncluttered as possible with time and (possibly) weather
  • Right: Application shortcuts

Waiting for it! Would love to get hold of the Zune Home Launcher. Is it very customizable? Is it fairly bug-free? How is the performance vs. something like Launcher Pro? How is the App Drawer on it?

It is not customizable at all. :-/. You can only remove the main menu options from a set list. You cannot add your own. You can change the quick link shortcuts on the left. The weather (i have it disabled) is only in fahrenheit. Performance is good. About the same as Launcher Pro for me. App drawer is nice although i find that when you download a new app it does not show straight away. Had to wait a few minutes (possibly for the app to refresh?) before it showed up.

I wish i could hide the notifications. Choose my menu options and re-arrange them. Have a page that i can put widgets on (i miss being about to switch off my data and auto sync with switch pro).
And a much better weather system would be nice also.
 
Well. I flashed DeFroST in the week, and I had endless problems with it... So this morning I thought I would give CyanogenMod a try, and I set everything up from scratch. I like what I have done with it now, think this will stick for more than 2 days :P

also how do you change the home screen to another number? or is that only available on other type of launchers or is only a modded rom?

cybert, what apk mod did you do to get the notification slide down menu to be transparent. I am looking for one that is like the glass bar that i have.

I have not actually worked on anything other than LauncherPro, so I would not be able to answer that... I am sure there are mods/themes that you can use to make the notification bar transparent, but mine is in the ROM I am running so I didn't do anything special to get it, maybe just google or check XDA and you might find it there. Running Cyanogen by the way, best ROM I have run between LeeDrOiD, DeFroST and this! DeFroST is basically the same, but I got weird problems with it just being non responsive and you have to pull the battery and reboot it...

edit 2: i see that the file is 960 x 800 which is good, but my stupid phone wont let me select the whole picture for the backround. is this becuase i am not running launcher pro? or becuase i am running stock rom?

edit 3: i found it , you pinch it !!!
