How do you get the icons so small and so many in one row?

Except what is the point of constantly monitoring your storage and other stats?

How is that useful?

Battery levels and data consumption are the stats I'm more concerned about...
Screenshot wasn't clear for some reason so couldnt see the rest.

Still isn't making those massive on screen actually using more battery?

It might but I'm not going to let a little battery drain get in the way of my entertainment. The widget is multi purpose too. If I tap the battery percentage that takes me into the more detailed battery settings. Taping available storage takes me into a detailed breakdown of what is using what re storage space.

who cares? i'm more concerned that he's essentially putting windows launcher on his phone..... blasphemous!

Yeah. I know you not a big fan but jokes aside it is seriously the most functional layout available. It takes a bit of graft but it is also highly customizable. I could really configure it for the minimalist if required, as I've shown before....

No my iPhone actually has proper notifications on each app...

Something that I can't even hack to work reliably on Android.

And all that "customisation" I was promised is lacking on everything that actually matters. Especially notifications.

How so? What element are you missing?

Cause I'm seriously trying to understand the logic here.

And why there is so much hate for IOS and everyone being sheep when it offers so much more useful stuff and cuts away the frivolous crap.

I'm literally on an Android device now. Putting myself out there and I still don't get it.

I still use iOS, have an iPad Pro, nothing running android comes close although I haven't tried a Sammy S3 tab. What android phone you using? I went from a 6s to a 3T/5/5T and haven't looked back. I played around on my business partners X and wasn't taken by it at all!! Vanilla iOS is so dull and dreary. Love my Pro though!! Pure class!!

Microsoft Launcher. None of the others make sense to me.

And that the app needs to support it is exactly the problem. It's not native but a hack job.

You should try Squarehome launcher 2 then. I've only been harping on about it for the last 5 years!! :p

Okay will try Square Home. But Microsoft Launcher pulls in a lot of ios like features quite easily.

It's the freebie FNB Conexis X2 so stuck on Nougat.

But I find the lack of notification customization most lacking (drop down vs lock screen vs pop up etc).

Overall I've found very little that really sets it apart and mostly just lacking and generally unstable compared to IOS.

Maybe I'll do a little review after this month.

Haven't tried Microsoft Launcher. Which features in particular?

For me the deal breaker with android is the handset. I'm not a fan of mid range droids. Had a Samsung A5 2016 model for about 4 minutes before chucking it against a wall! What I've always found Android have battled to replicate, is the smoothness and fluidity of iOS and that's a big deal! But they have finally, but not so much on mid range hardware.

The mid range nature of your handset might also explain some of the instability you experiencing vs iOS.

Pick up an iPhone 5s/6/6s/7 and your overall user experience is fairly consistent across all 4 models.

Try the same with a Samsung J5/A5/S6/S7 and you'll disappointed by the contrasting performance (at least in my experience). And it's not so much in the beginning but give it 6 months to a year and those droids get bogged down under their own dodgy code (not to mention the bloatware).

I would be reluctant to run Squarehome launcher on the Conexis. I wouldn't describe it as a resource hog but it definitely is a little more taxing than some of your garden variety launchers.

Didn't run it long enough to even notice.

One thing with these "clones" is that if you know the original well it's always lacking.

Yeah.

Used it for about a year.

Last Windows phone I used was a HTC of some description, Desire I think... Can't comment on how Squarehome would stack up to a modern Windows phone but what I do know is you need to explore it a bit longer than 4 minutes in order to do it justice!!

Anyhooo....

When you have a chance watch the review..

Images with/on Tapatalk often appear low quality and make reading smaller text difficult.
