New setup on my Note 2. Thanks goes to DJ for making me aware of this nice setup.

All the files needed and a short how-to can be found here:

I'm really lazy to do this... but I know that I should :)

I'm using Go Launcher EX now, pretty cool, but one thing that puts me off is the lack of a calendar widget. With TouchWiz I could create a S.Planner widget and it would show my calendar, with any launcher it just shows an icon (shortcut)

Playing around with a Ubuntuish setup, no where near finished & still has lots more to refine. The setup consists mainly of custom UCCW widgets.

After a link in another thread I found the equivalent of this thread on macrumors. Hi-freaking-larious the way they "customise" their home screens :)

It is basically 52 pages of people showing off how they re-arranged their icons. Very inspiring.

Dude with stock Jelly Bean you cannot do much either besides downloading some widgets. You have to flash it or load a launcher (where you will lose some functionality) to customize it.

Depending on the widgets, you can still make it look quite nice. Rearranging icons though is just sad :D

LOL true, although downloading widgets and changing wallpapers is pretty much all that standard Android can do. Not even theme support :(

True, but at least we can download launchers if we wish to do so without rooting our phones.

Just going through that thread and can't stop laughing. One guy even said that their default bubbles wallpaper gives it a clean look. These okes will praise a turd if it was given to them by Apple :D
