I got a great watch at Mr. Price. I think it was R99...looks good and does what a watch should...tells the time.

I've upgraded since then, got a Huawei GT4 and couldn't be happier. Primarily got it for tracking my cycling and checking my health.

On the fly micro adjustment is amazing

It makes a bracelet fit/wear more like a nato

Bought a ton of New Temu straps and am enjoying hot-swapping some of my older simpler watches from the collection. Not a big fan of the quick release straps but good for ease of use. Some of these are surprisingly effective and eye catching! Also nice to pay cost price to what they sell for locally - my old strap guy was R250 a piece now getting the same items at R29 with R5 shipping.

I normally buy homage watches of things I wouldn’t buy.

There is no ceramic 39mm black bay 58, so that is why I bought this one.

I’ll enjoy this one as much as I enjoy my Explorer 2, Seamaster or FXD

Take it down to an independent jeweller or watch store and they should be able to point you in the right direction. Maybe @AxField can drop some pointers.

The new Mido Ocean Star 39s look incredible value.




Seriously tempted but it would put a dent in my Longines zulu time 39 fund. Still hunting for a special on it. The 42mm version has up to 30% off at places, but nothing on the 39.
