If their app had a Chromecast button, I might have tried it, as much as I despise having to use an extra device to watch something on my TV - not prepared to watch any thing on my phone or tablet.

A instagram/tiktok clip is already pushing the limit, of what I am prepared to watch on a phone.
 
The fact that the EPL games can only be streamed on mobile, with AirPlay and mirroring blocked, is hilarious. What a bunch of chumps.

Following SABC+ App example, the old app had Chromecast the new one - NADA, nothing, fokkol, niks.

No suprises there - Multichoice/DSTV, have never had a consitently decently working app. They update it 4 times and it has issues, the next update, and most people are happy with it, then the cycle starts again. Tho their previous Showmax app was probably better than their DSTV app. Then they decided to "improve" it and then the OOOOPSIE's started.

The website used to have it, don't know if it still does but without a search functionality it was easier to use google.

“As part of the migration, customers can log onto the new Showmax with their existing username and password but need to create profiles and watchlists from scratch,” Venter said.

“This has understandably frustrated some of our customers. This also gives subscribers a blank slate opportunity to create new watchlists and retrain the algorithm from the beginning to ensure a better viewing experience.”

I am still experiencing these issues blank screen, lagging, something went wrong and had to use phone to cast to tv from Monday. :mad:

I also had the blank screen issue last night.I then forced closed the app via the Applications menu and then opened it again. That seemed to make it working for me, but yet to test it again today. Will report back if I experience the same issue.

I will try to force close if it carries on today. I have already tried removing and reinstalling the app.
