Showmax 2.0 launch date and prices announced

So far picture quality does look better, plus sound is better.

I turned off the auto play via the phone app. To get rid of the tv show/movie that I know I won't watch ever :laugh:. I clicked on the watch now on the phone again :rolleyes:and then scrolled to the end and it disappeared from the continue watching list. Luckily I didn't have to many stuck there.
 
So this is not available on the Xiaomi Mi Box S , 1st generation, or is it? The message I get from the Playstore.

My 4K Mi Stick gave up the ghost, so won't know if the same story.

Tried a few good Android TV browsers, no luck, best result was a black screen after login.

Peacock platform nogal.

i cant find it on my mi box playstore...

I'll check, it was available on the Nova Netology, but I've not checked the mi boxes and sticks, though those are ancient.
 
Thought I would try and give the new Showmax 2.0 a try out and so got the new app and linked a virtual card to the account but alas kept coming back with an error message of an issue so please try later. Decided since I am just trialling it, will buy a voucher and run it for the month. Bought the Voucher and putting in the code under "voucher" does absolutely nothing :ROFL: .

Decided to rather give it a wide birth until it gets sorted out. I have the actual peacock app and it works quite well and not like this monstrosity of an app. Peacock is not the best app out but it does what its supposed to, and so just not sure what parts of this app that Showmax has decided to use because obviously its not working.

Both available on Xiaomi Mi 4K TV Stick and Xiaomi Mi-Box S 2nd Gen.

As to whether they work, dunno - not going to pay to find out.

Also available on my Shield TV Pro 2019, with same icon.
 
^ It's says it is compatible with Xiaomi Tv Stick but its has certain issues I mentioned earlier in the thread like slowness, black screen, lagging, something went wrong etc. To be honest I was only able to watch 1 movie so far without issue but since than had to cast from phone.

Don't know about issues as I don't have Showmax and not planing to get, it, to test it.

Just saying that the app, buggy or not is available on the Google Android TV play store, for the devices I have. Where people ard saying that it is not available on those devices.
 
The Showmax 2.0 app is whole mess on tvOS too. Who develops these local apps?

Technically it would be Peacock as it's their app with the Showmax skin. Like Disney is Hotstar

Well I have no issues when using the Peacock app. The Showmax App is an independant App, built using the Peacock platform. It is not a skinned Peacock App.
