I've been having this issue for almost a week now...
Showmax has not been able to report back as to why it's happening so I've cancelled my sub.
Update: Deleting and reinstalling the app sorted me out.
What is the alternative besides DSTV?
I signed up for a 7 day free trial but could not find anything that I remotely wanted to watch after 7 days they deducted R129 from my account without any authorization from me. Should rather be called Scammax!

Typical! Just because the scam was hidden in the small print don't make it legal their ad was misleading and they will not be getting my money. Do you want to make any side-bets?
So after you cancelled (before day 8), they still charged you?No matter what follows this leading statement nul and voids it :
"Sign up for ShowMax Premium in 2 easy steps.
Enjoy your 7 day FREE trial. No commitments, cancel online anytime."
But these types of scams bargain that some will not read the small print and then believe that there's no way out or are too embarrassed to complain.
