The way that the devices work on Showman is a problem for me.

No such issues with Netflix, so I am using Netflix.

1. The streams would just time out and then I would have to resume them... When I tried another ISP the same thing happened.

Happens to me as well, average 2-3 times per movie. It just stops, then I have to go back a few seconds for it to start again.

The Showmax catalog is poor. Their catalog browser is crap (no details or thumbnails) unless you click into the show/movie. Netflix is much better than Showmax. I don't even bother with Showmax anymore even though I have a paid subscription. Netflix trial is 30 days too.

Similar struggle with ShowMax, takes a while to play, looses resolution, picks up resolution, and then cuts out...

Really annoying, and also thought might be isp, congestion, etc. But Netflix plays flawlessly, even USA, which would expect would be worse as it's international traffic versus local

Hey. Sorry about the delay in response. Was out of the country for a while.

Yes I also don't bother with Showmax anymore. I have been using Netflix SA for about 2 months now and since then I have had no issues at all except when Vox has issues on their side. My Netflix SA experience is so much better, no more worries about episodes missing or cutting out.

I think opinions about the catalog is going to differ from each individual. One person might like more of the shows on Showmax than Netflix and vice versa...

But when It comes to actually sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the streams. Netflix SA is giving a far better experience.

Yes, exactly my experience. So glad more people are coming to the party regarding these issues.

I hate the device limitation (5 max) as I share with family but ok.. 5 is enough and they do allow 2 streams which combined with Netflix, Hulu and my Plex box means everyone has something to watch/stream from.

Seems ok to me.. but we will see. I do hate that content isn't as good though(latest and greatest.. but being restricted to NetflixSa meh.. i guess i can't complain too much) but ok for series binge. will see how long i keep this time round.
