Sierra is making a comeback

All this talk of Space Quest made me think Mass Effect.
I hope they don't just produce another Mass Effect clone and actually deliver a true Sierra Product as we all grew up loving.
You want pseudo 3D? :p

Now that you mention Mass Effect is pretty much what the quest games would have been like if the tech had been there.

Having said that I don't have a problem with more Mass Effect like games as long as they've got good, original story lines. I love Mass Effect. A lot.

Well that's my point; if they stay true to Sierra roots and give it a good story and some thought in the puzzles, it will be well worth every minute.

Aah, have fond memories of a certain dangling particable in King quest. And a certain semi naked drunkard near a pond concealing a knife in his undies that I had to arrest in police quest.

I hope they bring back these games in the style of Telltales latest games

Not to mention humour! Never forget the one scene at the start of Space Quest 2. Walk into a room somewhere and type "Take Ladder". Message on the screen -> You grab the 40ft ladder and jam it in your back pocket :D

I just want a new SWAT so badly!!!

That game was amazing :P

Remember lanning that game all day long :P

Grew up on these games. I don't think any game will ever capture my imagination like the original quest for glory, space quest etc did.

This is some pedigree:

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Crash Bandicoot series
Spyro the Dragon series
King's Quest
Space Quest
Leisure Suit Larry
The Adventures of Willy Beamish
Shivers
Gabriel Knight
Phantasmagoria
Quest For Glory
Police Quest
SWAT series
Half Life
Counter-Strike
The Incredible Machine
Gold Rush!
Crossfire
Pharaoh
Homeworld
Lighthouse: The Dark Being

None which actually sucked.

Don't confuse Sierra as a Publisher with Sierra as a Developer.

Crash Bandicoot is a Naughty Dog game and Spyro is an Insomniac game and I'm sure the same logic applies to many others on that list.

I realise you just copied and pasted the Wiki but it's a distinction that needs to be made.

Being a publisher doesn't mean all that much for the content.

Leisure Suit Larry and Swat would be brilliant.
Same recipe but with new tech. Can only be amazing

Roger wilco! One of my favorite characters of all time. Yus a rehash of space quest would be great if they keep to their roots

Will quite happily deal with a "reimagined" Kings Quest as a start....

I miss those old type of games.

Space quest was the one you started by writing a test which you could not pass right? Then the mouse messed up the computers and you passed? That is the one right?

Yup, Space Quest V: The Next Mutation

Wow, I would love to play a remake of that series. What happene dto that platform of games? They died with Sierra? I remember having to walk a few km's to get to a mate's house just to get the answers off the internet for the Leisure suit Larry age verification questions :o

That whole role playing series was brilliant.

My favourite was Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers

every time you went to a different time period the game title at the top would change
Space Quest XII: Vohaul's Revenge II and Space Quest X: Latex Babes of Estros
and even went back in time to Space Quest I and Roger Wilco noted the Graphics change
