Hi
I got a Rain 4G offpeak sim in May. It sits in a Huawei E5573 modem. I was very happy with it in the beginning - great speeds, consistent connection. Over the past few days, however, the signal is constantly up and down (the light on the modem goes red). Is this some error on Rain's side or should I be changing a setting somewhere? I haven't made any changes on my side. I'm in the Fairway/Illovo area in Joburg.
Thanks.

I am in the Pretoria VIllieria area, and my Rain 5G keeps dropping the connection. Have to reboot the device constantly during the day. I work from home at the moment and need the internet for Teamviewer Remote support. Clients get frustrated when I need to call them again to make the connection. I used to have a solid bright green light, now I have blue, and sometimes the light green. The 5G device is outside during the day where I normally get a good signal, and even inside the house, I get a good signal. All this started 2 weeks before load shedding starts. Logged a ticket with rain, but say 48 to 72 hours. Anybody in Villieria area has the same problem

I have a similar issue on 4g here in Cape Town. It started as those small disconnections where I would lose signal for a few minutes. But now for the past 2 days my tower is down. I have to force band 3 and connect to a further tower which gives dismal speeds under 1mbps. It's so sad because when the tower is up my speeds are very good.

My 5G has been great the last couple of months. Until the weekend. Now the 5G drops often and unfortunately the 4G is so weak that no sites will load. If I click on the Reconnect button a couple of times then it will suddenly reconnect and I'll have full 5G signal again.

I'm hoping that it's just a problem caused by load shedding since it started around the same time.

I have also experienced the breakdown(drop in connection) in the network the past two days. I leive in Steelpark in the Vereeniging area. The constant loading or no network at all when I want to use the internet. This also happens with the sim I have in my phone. At time the network just go missing for few minutes and back again just like in the router that I use at home (Huawei B618) 4G

Back to this issue once again.

I have signal for about 10-15 minutes and then its gone for about 45 minutes.
This is just too messed up and sad when you consider the speed of the connection once it is on:

Everybody constantly complain in this forum about Rain's service yet people seem to continue signing up. Are you guys masochists or what?

I should post an update: Rain got in touch with me and forced me onto a different tower, and everything's been pretty good since then.
